The tracks pass under a long Norfolk and Western Railroad
trestle which spans Route 88, Castle Shannon Boulevard, and a
fairly long stretch of the trolley line (due to the sharp angle at which
the tracks pass under the trestle). The 2005 track alignment adds a
set of crossovers whose signals are visible just beyond the trestle.
In 1965 the trestle carried two tracks over the trolley line; the nearer
track was mostly removed by the mid 1970s, but a small stretch of span
over the outbound track still survives today!
